Does anyone know how to test these sensors?
I get a solid alarm on the port engine that sets a code for high exhaust temp even though the riser temp is only 129-131 degrees. Measured with IR gun
T Stat housing 139
The ecm says everything is in the normal range. (Run on a diagnostic program)

Volvo has 2 different exhaust temp sensors, the first design was adjustable (you can tell if yours is this style by looking at the stud the wire connects to - it will have a slot that you can put a screwdriver into to adjust it) they had some troubles with this sensor getting out of adjustment and switched to a new nonadjustable sensor. Sounds like you should replace the failed sensor.

That's the problem (replacing) I would if i knew which one it was. There is one on each riser

Edit:
To boot i can't even find them on the parts diagram.
