ETEC and Props

I have a 90ETEC which so far I am happy with...I notice the first tank of gas the engine burned more oil than it is on the second tank...is this part of the computer controlling break in? Is it true that the ETEC will have different RPM's/performance for about the first 20 hours due to regulations the computer sets on the motor?

Right now I have a Viper prop on boat that is all I know...what will more or less pitch do for the boat?

Double oil automatic for first 10 or so hours over 2500 RPM, then normal oil use. Completely normal.

I would prop for 5200 minimum @ WOT, somewhat over is fine.

With no rpm gauge on boat how do I do this?
