Ethanol Question

I'm seeing more and more ethanol out there and my state it is legal to pump 10% ethanol in unleaded with out telling the customer. Is this a problem for the older 2 stroke's to burn it? I try to stay away from it as much as possible anyway and get gas from stations that I know are at least honest about their fuel type. In the event that it is burned does anyone know the long term affects?

The OMC engines were fitted to burn it since at least the mid 1980s and say so in all of the literature. Some earlier motors should have the hoses replaced, because alcohol can degrade them.
