Okay so I'm overhauling the merc. I already purchased a line with primer bulb that is alcohol resistant. I want to know if fuel line stamped: sae 30r6 kx is alcohol resistant and also if fuel line stamped: es 1763 bombardier is alcohol resistant?

Re: Ethanol resistant fuel lines

As per the top secret files........ all lines must "meet or exceeding SAE J1527 type B or USCG Type B" to be resistant to E10. Hope this helps. Also, lines that are to be under the cowling / cover should be of type "A1 or A2" ratings. I'm doing a search for the same line you have (SAEJ30R6) and found your question. I also googled' this code and found a little manufacture info but nothing states it meet these resistances to E10. It looks like it can withstand temps of +212F, but that is about all it is good for.
Good luck,

Re: Ethanol resistant fuel lines

I would assume that any current production fuel line will tolerate the E10...by current production I mean over the last 5 years or so. I would also assume that any fuel line you purchase from a outboard supply store will be good to use.
