evenrude 15 Hp quits suddenly

Impeller looks great, lots of powdery build up in two chambers of lower unit. 1 where pump sits and other where shift link passes through. Think the fuel/oil mix is the problem? Also, cannot figure the year, seems to be between 90 and 92 but the data plate has the words "VOID" all over it????

Hello.<br />Sounds like she gets to hot at full speed,or maybe your fuel mix is a bit too lean,maybe both.<br />Make sure to run her for a while on 1:32 to lubricate whatever has been setting up in your engine.No less important,check your impeller and make very sure you have enough cooling water getting to your engine.I hope you don't have any schorching problems.<br />Good luck

rolmops is right. You need to change the impeller in your water pump. You are overheating. Do a compression test to make sure that you haven't torn up any rings or cylinders. Run the 32:1 like he said for a tank and then go back to 50:1.
