evenrude,25hp clutch dog

I have a 25 hp 78' electric start motor that jumps out of gear into nuetral when i'm at high rpm. i've narrowed it down(I think), by replacing all but the clutch dog. Does this sound right? And what would be a good resource for part numbers,shop manual doesn't have thhem .any response would be helpfull. Thank you.

Replace the clutch dog, and also the gears for a real fix.
For temporary, turn the dog around, then it will jump out of reverse.
When you remove the clutch dog from the prop shaft, there will be 2 steel balls and a spring in there, so remove it slowly and pay attenton to what comes out of where, or you will be chasing spring and balls all over your garage.
