Can anyone tell me when this was made, the oil ratio it needs, and the plugs it needs. Also, are there any model specific books one can buy? One fellow thought it was made in 1960, but it has the early 70's style cowl.<br /><br />Thanks,<br /><br />Lou

1960 Evinrude Starflite, long-shaft 75hp (according to the model number). You need a parts and/or service manual. Clymer prints one that covers that year and model. Oil ratio would be 24:1 (could go 32:1 with good TCW-3 oil, and maybe 40:1 -- This is controversial.)<br /><br />Gas was .25/gal, and the motor will behave as if it still is....<br /><br />fun to play with.

Well, while my faulty memory would have said otherwise, it does make sense, that is the right age for the Lyman it is mounted on. Thanks a bunch!
