Going to a trade show later this year in Fargo ND, coming from St. Louis. Bringing the family, so thinking of renting an RV for an easier drive up and still be able to bring our trailer.

Any advice or recomendations? Who's the travelocity of rv dealers?

I have not traveled in one in a while BUT if your going in season it takes a LOT of planing to be sure you allways have a hookup with the correct power to run the AC :)

My trips through the west in summer were like NYC on a busy day

Check out Cruise America Noel. They have a place in Springfield.

Rented once - owned after that. If self contained, you can support the A/C with your generator easily enough. Stayed in quite a few Mall Parking lots, only a couple of occasions the police asked us to move. It is what you make of it.

Our very first RV trip I was but a wee lad. Remember going out of the drive way and not all doors were latched. Ketchup bottle came crashing to the floor and mom was on her knees cleaning up Ketchup - not even 30 seconds away from the back door! She was not a happy camper - and didn't enjoy the cooking and cleaning on vacation.

Our "camping" habits have changed over the years. Great way to travel - make it fun.

And remember to pick on the drawers to pull them out.
