Ever See A Green Mercruiser???

I just finished putting this 1996 4.3 engine together and started her up for the first time today. I upgraded to Vortec heads and installed new pistons. I have all the info on how to upgrade the Vortec heads in my restoration thread below. Since its been so cold lately so I spent some extra time stripping and painting all the parts. Anyway I was just pretty stoked about getting her running today I thought I;d share...

yep, its green!

If I ever go down the same path as you and completely strip/rebuild a boat engine, its going to get painted caterpillar yellow... I want to see how many people I could confuse with my 'diesel' engine.

I did my 200hp Evinrude in Chevy orange. Looks really cool.

No. I last started it about 22 hours before the video was shot. I did pump the gas 3 times before I started shooting the video though...
