Couple of weekends ago had pulled up on a sandbar in the flats...caught some live bait...threw 'em the livewell with the pump running and just chilled out the rest of the day....something we've done several times over the years.
This time, when its time to leave, the battery won't turn the motor over...no problem I'll just pull start it like I use to do on my other boat (had twin 115 Mercs 2 strokes)...this time I could barely get the engine to rotate at all...brother & I both pulling on it...must be some vicious compression in there...flagged down another boater & jumped it off.
When I got home, even though it started right up in the backyard for flushing the motor, I put the charger on it for a couple of hours...next day it was dead again so just replaced the battery.
But still surprised I couldn't pull start it.
