Our motor seems to be fouling plugs, mostly the bottom of the 2 though. I just replaced the coils and plugs but here is what I see after a night of fishing.
There is s oily film on both plugs, worse on the lower plug. I had to replace the lower plug on the water last night as it fouled out and that cylinder died. I have checked the compression last week and had right around 150# on each cylinder with less than 10# difference. My original problem was the lower cylinder seeming to not be firing so that is why I replaced both coils.
I notice what looks like brown oil residue around the spark plug hole also. I am paranoid about tightening the plugs too tight and the threads are smooth. I can screw both plugs all the way in with my fingers so no damage. I tighten them up but have not used a torgue wrench. What torque should they be?
I mixed about 17-18 OZ of oil to 6 gal gas just to ensure I had enough. Is this too much excess as I believe 16 oz is the 50:1 ratio? Sorry for all the questins but I am trying to include all relivant info here and hope for some input that helps me. Lastly, the motor seems to run at about 95-100 degrees at the top head and 115 degrees at the top exhaust manifold according to my IR temperature gauge WHILE TROLLING at slow rpm. Is this to low a temperature?

its running cool, have you tried a wider plug gap for trolling.
You might wanna decarb it regularly to keep the rings free.
For sparkplugs I just snug em down then tighten about 1/8th of a turn.
