Evinrude 115 carb issues. Help !

97 evinrude 115 spl Had problems with fuel leaking from throats of carbs making engine run bad. Rebuilt carbs and noticed the new needle and seat assembly (the seat part )was smaller than the original. Now when I get on a plane engine tries to stall out. Is there a chance they packed the wrong needle and seat in carb kits and float bowls are running out if fuel when running higher rpms? The kit is evinrude -Johnson #439076 Thanks guys

Yeah man I would not have put those in. Sounds like the engine is starving because of the lack of fuel. There are many different orifices available for different altitudes. Are you running at sea level?

Jones, have you tried pumping the primer bulb when this happens ?

I diagnosed the problem. I put the old (bigger seat) back in the carbs and took it out on the water today. Ran perfect! Seattle were indeed too small!

Cool man, glad you got that figured out. Do you have any float bowl leak?

Are the kits real BPR kits, or after market? Kits come from Evinrude dealer? Just for my info.

Hellow when i purchased my carb rebuild kits from bombardie for my 98 ii5 intruder i also noticed that the hole was smaller in the seat and i was worried that it would run out of fuel so i called the tech at bombardie and said that is the right needle and seat so i put it in all is ok runs fine dont know your moter but mine did not use the gasket under the seat it comes in the kit but i dont use it , and it was not there when i pulled the carbs apart for cleaning does you 115 use IT?
