evinrude 115?

[inshore-gasm]

i just bought this boat and it only runs when i hold the choke....and it kinda jumps and sputters while im holding the choke does any one have any suggestions?????? it is a vro v4 i dont know what year it is tho it is older

You are going to have to post the model number and year. Just for starters, you'll need to clean/rebuild the carbs if it has been sitting with old gas in them. Don't run this motor in this condition, the fuel is also the lubrication for the cylinders...

Do a search in this forum. You can usually find your answer without having it post a question. You aren't the first person to have this problem

look for a plug like this.

post #'s. did you check compression and spark before buying, if not do it now. agree it is going to need carb cleaning, and rebuild kits. but get the compression #'s and spark that jumps 1/2 inch on all 4.
