Hello, ENN.

Congratulations on a rare find of an excellent engine!

You have a good plan. Depending on how long it has been since last run, you might check the carb bowl for varnish. If you find any, clean the carb thoroughly.

Good luck. :)

Save yourself some time and buy a carb kit (15.00) and at least replace the gaskets and float/needle valve. When you set the float make sure it is level with the carb when turned upside down. Also make sure that the high speed jet is PERFECTLY clean.
You will really like this engine!!

Thank you - i added the carb kit and fired it up - it has been standing for 10+ years but fired right up on 1st pull and run like a champ.

I have not had a 2 stroke for several years - but this is the authentic feeling - this engine is fast and responsive - love it.
