Evinrude 150, idle problem

Hello,<br />I have 1989 Evinrude 150, V6. The idle speed changes seems to change on its own. When I am driving along and take it out of gear it idles at 1000 RPM. When I start the engine, (warm or cold), It idles at 800 RPM in nuetral. This sometimes causes it to stall when dropped in gear. Especially if I am running low RPM's for a while and the plugs load up on 50:1. <br />I have disassembled and cleaned the Carbs, replaced the carb base gaskets, replaced the plug wires. <br />Note: I have the type of OMC control box with the lever that lifts up for high idle. It seems difficult to adjust this, I couldn't find much in the clymers book other than don't have the cable to loose or to tight?<br /><br />Any ideas?<br />Thanks<br />Kevin
