so. I'm kind of new to the whole OWNING a boat thing. However have been around them all ,my life. This boat has been in my family since it was new in 1975. (Wellcraft 5v20). Has a 1989 Evinrude 150 v6 outbard that hasn't seen water in probably 15 years. Now. I rebuilt the carbs, changed plugs, fuels lines, tank switch for dual tanks, fuel pump, sending units and had the tanks professionally cleaned. IF i was to start the motor with a portable gas can sitting directly next to it using the ball pump to prime it...the motor runs amazingly well. As soon as i try to start it from the side tanks. Nothing, Nada, Zip, Zilch!

Anyone have Ideas where i should go next? Even if it's back to the starting gate?

Hey Lew welcome to the iboats forum.

I think first your going to have to do some testing to see if you can draw fuel out of the tanks downstream from the switch. I'm assuming no fuel will make it to the motor from either side tank. Do you have a primer bulb installed on the line to the motor between the tank switch and the motor?

Thank you very much. Glad to be here

yes there is a primer bulb between the tank switch and motor. I'm actually changing out the tank switch again to see if maybe that is the problem
