evinrude 15012-46674 ? UPDATE

Was wanting to know what year this motor is. And I have a old johnson service manual 10th edition is there a johnson motor the same year and make as this evinrude(15012) or one thats close to do my link & sink ? Thank you, Guys so much , John Mark

Evinrude 15012 is a 15 HP from 1953-54.
Johnson E10 is a 15 HP from 1956 that would be the closest 15 hp Johnson.

Excellent motors. Those were the years that the Fastwin was greatly improved. I prefere the 1957 model, myself.

There is a lot of difference between a 1953-54 and a 1955-up. To use your Johnson manual, you probably will have to look at the 1956 15hp and the pre-1955 10hp motors, then read between the lines.

Yep, I totally agree. There were several changes from the early 50's till '56 Things got a little more consistant at that year. 1956, is when OMC got more involved with each other in the Johnsons and Evinrudes and made them more the same, but prior to that, each year had several changes.

Update Converted motor with a fuel pump ,had 100lb.s compression top & bottom, She ran great and sold fast. LOVE them old OUTBOARDs ,Thanks a ton you GUYs,John Mark
