Re: evinrude 18 hp fast twin

Unless you can hear it run and do a compression test and inspect the gearcase oil it is a parts engine, Ken. Not over a couple of hundred.

If you can verify that the engine runs well, has good compression and clean cearcase oil $450 is a fair price.

"Late 50s" is a pretty vague date. Between the mid 50s and the mid 60s a lot of changes took place that really affect users. . . .hard-to-find twin hose fuel systems, 24:1 or 50:1 fuel mix, and others.

If you can give us a model number and tell us whether a fuel tank and hose(s) are included it would help.

Good luck. :)
