evinrude 18hp fastwin upper water tube seal?

hello all. im new to the forums and yall seam to be the most knowledgeable group. i am doing some tune up work and changing a few gaskets on my 1971 Evinrude 18hp Fastwin. model number 18102s .im trying to figure out how to remove and change the upper water tube seal. i pulled the power head off and cant get it from there, so i pulled the lower off and it looks to be about half way up the center housing section. i cant quite get my hand in there. so anyone know a way to get it out? i want to verify it before i order a new one. the IPB (illustrated parts breakdown) yall have here on this site shows that its the same seal thats on the water pump, but i wana make sure first. i will try and take a pic of what im talking about here soon. here is the link to the IPB that i was looking at.

On the side of the exhaust housing you will find a hole.---In that hole will be some rubber from the grommet.---Use that hole to push the grommet out.----Install the new grommet

There was a special tool for installing that upper grommet. The tool wasn't worth beans. Use a couple of large screwdrivers and poke and prod. Oil it up first to make it slide in easier.

thanks. came right out when i found that hole. that seal was ate-up. in case anyone else wants to know, it is the exact same seal that is on the top of the water pump.
