evinrude 18hp twin

Could someone please tell me where to look for the water pump on this engine. I submerged the lower half in water and crank the engine for a few seconds but no water comes out. I have checked the thermostat and it is fine and the passages are clear. thanks.

You dont specify what year your motor is.<br /> The pump should be in the bulge about 1/2 way down the lower unit.<br />Before starting any repair get a service manual.<br /> They are at the library,the tab at the top of this page,NAPA,amazon.com,ebay,etc.
