Hello all, Renewing an old thread. I am also after a wiring diagram for this engine. I am trying to do some troubleshooting on the remote control and powerpack. Any help/ideas would be much appreciated. I can provide more information if someone replies.

Thanks,
Josh

Likely the original factory service manual would have the correct wiring diagram in the back. You can get an original manual from the original publisher (Ken Cook) at this website: outboardbooks.com. Both Johnson and Evinrude engines use the same part number lower units and function the same electrically. The Evinrude box uses three push buttons for shifting. The Johnson box uses a single electrical switch internal to the control box. They both send the same signals to the lower unit for shifting purposes.

"Renewing an old thread."

Against the rules, jto. Please read and respect our rules.

12. Please do not post to threads that have been inactive for more than 3 months UN-LESS you are the original poster. We have very active forums and any thread that remains inactive for that long should be considered "dead". It is especially confusing when there is an entirely new question posted to an old thread. This is considered a hijack. Please start a new thread of your own.

Thanks for your cooperation. :)
