evinrude 1980 9.9 spark plug type and gap

What are the better spark plugs to put on it, and is .030 the right gap?

The front knob is for idle speed adjustment. If you feel it needs to be adjusted, it should never be more than two full turns from lightly seated closed (knob must come off to close, assuming the tab is still on it). Most seem happy somewhere between 1 and 1.5 turns from closed...<br />- Scott
