I had some work done on the motor and got it back with the air intake extensions missing. I'm trying to get them back but that's another story. The extensions are about three inches long and bolt on to each side of the air intakes on the carburetor. The manual says not to run the engine without the cowling because it will create an imbalance in the air intake and cause the engine to run lean.
It would seem that the same lean condition would occur without the extensions. If I remember they taper down slightly toward the end. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks in advance.
