where in the world is the PEE hole to this water flow. Did this design of 1988 Evinrude E3RCCM 2.5hp not use a PEE HOLE for water outlet? Perhaps that's what the problem is ... a CLOGGED LINE? I haven't seen water come out anywhere.

Now, to give a background, I have removed shaft, tested impeller with drill under water and it shoots up about 2ft which I thought was good enough NOT to change impeller. Please advise if you feel otherwise.

Also, I am currently about to run WATER UP COPPER water line in shaft in AM. Once I determine that line is clear ... I am not sure what else I could check before putting it all back together and running it?

Any suggestions based on where I am with this.

IT'S MY FIRST ATTEMPT AT SOMETHING THIS DEEP for me anyway.

Appreciate any help here as some people have already walked me through to this point and it's been a wonderful forum.

Thanks. EMH

No I dont think there is a tell tale. Referring to the owners manual will confirm.

You should see some water, maybe only a few droplets, being ejected from behind the muffler which covers the exhaust back pressure relief port on the back of the exhaust housing below the bottom swivel.

Except for the exhaust manifold cover and perhaps the centre parts of the cylinder head around the spark plugs the engine should not get any hotter than you can touch and briefly maintain finger contact with

It does not have a pee hole nor does it need one.-----A wee bit of water spits out of the exhaust relief.----Just install a new impeller and go enjoy this motor.
