[Hello
I just took apart my 1990 225 evinrude motor to rebuild .the motor ran out of oil but no overheat, I will bring the motor to a machine shop for their opinion. Compression was 105 on 5 and one at 30 Does anyone have any opinion?s on the photos. Looks like 2 pistons are scuffed, can you just change two pistons or should you replace all?
Looking at the crankshaft journals? has no discoloration. But the top crank shaft bearing is loose, so i will replace the top and bottom. The bearings on the crankshaft sound loose when I spin the by hand, I would think they are bad any opinions? Can I use used bearings, top, bottom center from another 225 crank shaft of the same year and model numbers? The connecting rod bearings don?t seem to have any play ,and are a little blue or dark but look good I will replace them any way any opinions? I can get it apart and back together but lack the experience of how things should look and feel thanks

You can replace one of the pistons but your machinist will know for sure, as far as bearings clean and inspect all looking for pitting and discoloration. I would hone and put new rings in the rest
