Evinrude 1995 3 cyl 60hp
engine model BE60TLEOC
Hello folks.
My engine is the 1995 evinrude 3 cylinder 60hp triple.
to look at its identical to the 70hp model and i need to know what is the actual difference in the carbs on
these engines.
The outer body even looks identical to mine. ive got 2 x sets of the 60hp carbs due to having a engine for spares.
from parts i can only see two small differences, 1 of them in the float bowl, and the other on top of the carbs.
i did get told once that the actual throat diameter of the carbs is different, but when i looked at a 70hp of the
same year and model, it just looks identical to me.
often i see adverts for carbs saying 60/70hp !!!!!!! is it just jetting or what ?
if the internal diameter of the carb throat is different, then howcome they both use the same gasket and my
gasket is only a tiny bit larger than the throat of the carb ?
to be any bigger in diameter then surely there would be other parts like the butterflys that would
be different part numbers ?
i would like to just up the power a touch to give a bit more oomph when pulling skiers and toys etc
plus obviously get a bit more top end with bigger props.
