evinrude 1995 to 1986 throttle cam swap?

I"m thinking about replacing my johnny 1986 110HP throttle cam mechanism with my 1995 evinrude 90HP throttle cam mechanism.

That 1986 110HP throttle cam has a monster spring that is fighting my binicle controls something aweful.

Would there be a reason this wouldn't work? Its the same basic block, so i figure the advance to butterfly actuators are angularly the same?
