Evinrude 2000 225 FICHT flywheel issue

Hi Dave

I would question why he didn't see the broken teeth on the flywheel before he sold you a new starter. No excuse for that one! I don't know what could have damaged your flywheel(It could be starter related). Others will have more input....

What do you mean by "clicking"? Obviously you mean something other than the normal sound an injector makes, right?

If you mean the flywheel moves over far enough to contact the starter (and knock teeth off) you need to look at the upper bearing.

I have problems with 99 225 Evinrude ficht fuel injection.When i go fast the motor either go neutral or shuts off.The motor makes alot of waves when i drive in low speed.Where can i find a program to identifiy my problems with the motor
