Hello! I bought 1997 evinrude 20hp outboard motor. When i started It , i realized there was Fuel leaking from solenoid, or atleast some kind of Carb Fuel hose (in picture red) am i supposed to Connect these two green + red? The previous owner didn't know anything about this, and apparently he didn't care about Fuel leaking ( i realized after i took this picture that my solenoid switch is on wrong position) any clue what is the purpose of that green hose from carburator? Some kind of underpreassure?

The electric primer valve is a wonderful and simple device.-----It gets fuel at pressure from the fuel pump.----When you activate it with motor cranking , fuel goes directly into the airstream through the carburetor.----That hose in the green circle needs to go to one of the small nipples on the primer solenoid cover.---And I believe there is another small hose that comes off the primer as well.----One bigger hose feed fuel to the primer valve.----This primer is a valve and it is NOT a pump.---The fact that primer is OPEN in manual position is worrisome to me.-----Do a complete evaluation on this motor before spending hard earned $$ on it.

Thank you! I Will sure do evaluation, red marked hose is The one leaking Fuel when running, so i was thinking it's supposed to go with green

Just checked parts book.----One hose from electric primer valve to top of carburetor.---Run to your local boat shop to have this simple primer and starting set-up explained to you.

Sorry but picture doesn't show a green hose... It shows a black hose circled in green, of coarse I'm blind and stupid!

Racerone is correct, learn about this perfect little motor.
