Evinrude 25 Low speed help

Hi there,
My 1998 Evinrude 25 be25elece is running rough at low revs, at high revs its fine but the second it idles it spits and spluters and stops. The fuel filter is not blocked and all fuel lines are fine, I think its a carb adjustment thing but i dont know the settings for the screw on the top of the carb.
Any help would be appreciated

Just guessing here, but normally, a low speed needle valve is set at 1 1/2 turns out. Keep in mind that all motors are not the same and this setting is a ballpark location. Gently seat the needle valve (clockwise) and back it out at least one full turn (counterclockwise). Unless someone has been fooling around with the needle valve, chances are good that what you need is a carb cleaning and re-build and not an adjustment of the needle valve.
