I'm looking to upgrage my 96 Johnson 200hp Oceanpro (25 inch shaft) with a 1998 Evinrude 250hp Oceanpro (30 inch shaft) and have a couple of questions.<br /><br />Anyone have a feel for the quality of the Evinrude 250?<br /><br />Does the OB, when mounted on the transon, bracket need to sit all the way down on the transom? My 200 looks like it could be moved up 4 inches to a varity of mounting holes, but acually needs to be moved down 2 inches.<br /><br />Last question; will I have to change the controls for that kind of motor change?<br /><br />Thanks
