Evinrude 33hp cooling problems

i would like to know were the thermostat is placed on my 1965 33hp evinrude. i have replaced the waterpump impeller and the cooling woorked just fine then i didnt run the engine for i cuple of days and now it wont cool?? and no water is coming out the upper hole (pee hole?). so i thought maybee the thermostat is the reason for this problem or??<br />/Kim

I'm afraid I misinformed you in the past. It seems your engine does not have a thermostat. I appologise for sending you off in the wrong direction.<br />The second time you ran the engine, was the waterline all the way up to were the pump is? Is the intake screen clear?
