Evinrude 35Hp ignition & rectifier
I have been working on a 35hp Evinrude that missed a cylinder after long time slow sailing. Today i changed sleve under armature plate and corrected sensor coil 1/16" back, as it had been touching magnetos.

Testing spark, it looked like the upper spark wasnt as strong clear blue as the lower. However both jumps a 1/2" gap without missing. The upper sparkplug was a lot more black, carbonized and oily as the lower. Does the difference mean anything ? ( of cource there is more light in top, it could have fooled me ! )
There are 3 wires going from charging coil, 2 yellow and one yellow/blue stribe. The same repeats on rectifier. Does it matter which yellow are connected to which ?
