Evinrude 35hp Lower Unit Removal?

Anyone had issues removing a lower unit from an older model?? I have a 1983 35hp rude, dropping the lower unit to check on the water pump. I have the Seloc manual for this motor, disconnected the shift linkage and removed the 4 bolts and 1 nut on top the cavitation plate... Nothing, almost seems like the front bolt is seized up... Any ideas?

That front bolt siezing up is a common problem. Especially if it has been run in salt water. Heat and a wedge at the top of the stud should help.

Thanks FR, had some PB blaster in there... not workin. ill crank up my torch see if that'll get it!
