Evinrude 40 Help

Hi guys,
I am after some information on my evinrude 40hp model no 406b64p.
Also when the engine starts in the bucket fuel comes out of a whole at the top/front of carb. Is this because the engine isnt sitting level on the trailer?

Hi the motor should be leveled out when starting in a bucket so you can adjust the carb properly if it is still leaking gas you have to clean the carb and adjust the float and make sure the float needle is not damaged
