Ran my motor onto a gravel bar at 3/4 speed. The hit was hard enough to brake a chunk of one fin off the prop. I seem to have damage to both the powerhead and the lower unit now.
Powerhead is making a clunking sound at low speed. When I spin the flywheel by hand I can feel the clunk just after 1 cylinder tops out. The second cylinder does not make the clunk? What could this be? The running sound might be better described as a clink or ping. As stated earlier the slower you go the worse it sounds.

Lower Unit. No metal shavings in the fluid yet. The motor does not want to go into reverse - The throttle/shift lever goes back a ways and the throttle starts to rev before it jumps into gear. Seems to work fine after it gets into gear. I was thinking that the linkage was bent some?

I guess I am more concerned about the powerhead than the lower unit at this point.

Any help here?
