Evinrude 40HP on a CMC PT35 Power Tilt & Trim

Hi to all, can I cause any damage if I put my 40hp on a CMC PT35, I know it's rated at 35, but just asking?

c_...from the bass pro catalog...the pt 35..for up to 35 hp....is designed for clamp on or bolt on motors w/o an adaptor and uses the same hydraulic actuator as the larger unit...price $500....the larger unit handling up to 130 hp...requires a $75 adaptor kit for transom clamps..which brings it to $625...so..$125 more and no concerns...or call CNC and ask for technical advice...

Thanks AlTn, I decided to switch to a Evinrude elec shift 28hp, as you were mentioning, it's the same actuator that's in the PT130 and don't want to take a chance and damage a brand new trim, I already mounted and tested, all was good, but again I just will not take that chance.
