evinrude 50 horse tilt pin.....

How do you take the Tilt pin out on a 82 Evinrude 60 horse?? It has what look likes a lock key at the end of the pin and there is no way that the pin came be taking out with that lock key at the end of it. Anyone tell me how the pin comes out?

If its the type i think it is.....you push the end with the spring further in, this will allow you to straighten out the locking "tang" on the other end.....the pin should then come out.
