Evinrude 50hp 50373 Questions

Hi<br />Finaly got round to bolting my engine on to the RIB finished wiring, fueled her up. conected the water muffs, turned the key and hey presto she fired up. checked charge rate etc and alls fine. Now the questions, all the outboards i have owned have a tell tell (pee hole)<br /> this baby don't seem to have one. is this correct or should i have water coming out of someware i ran her for several minutes and she didn't seem to get overheated so i assume the water is cooling. i have decided to change the impellar any way as a precaution. Can any body email me a wiring diagram for a 25hp johnson 25E78 I am hoping to be able to use the existing wiring from this engine for the Evinrude. <br /> Finaly thanks to all those who helped with the info that enabled me to get the evinrude up and running <br />regards<br />mark<br />thecrazybear@aol.com

Ahoy, Crazybear.<br /><br />Not a good idea to ask someone to violate copyright law. <br /><br />You need the wiring diagram for the engine you are going to use as well as what you have to see how much, if any, of the controls will work.<br /><br />Borrow the appropriate manual(s) from your local library, where you can often legally make copies yourself.<br /><br />Good luck.

hi <br />i have manual for evinrude(cost an arm and a leg) but not johnson. we are not as lucky as you guys our libarys dont keep manuals for outboards<br />regards<br />mark<br />ps i wont tell if you dont, <br />pps any ideas on cooling question

My 1972 model Evinrude 50 spits water out of 2 rectangular holes at the back of the engine. It varies from a fine mist at idle to a healthy stream at full throttle.
