Evinrude 55 1969 Starter/wiring

Does anybody have scanned wiring diagram for subj.? I tried to run the engine by starter, but it looks like there is no electricity at starter (choke is moving so there is voltage at engine). Is there any thing that blocks starting engine, e.g. Some position of the remote? And and@apollo.lv

check sylonoid. the key activates the sylonoid . that puts power to the starter.. if the csyionoid doesent click then it isent giting power . be sure it is in nutral . the nutral safty switch could be bad or not lsinked with nutral . hold the key to start and move the throdle leaver back and foward a little . <br />i have a 79 55 hp a god engin . papasage

You bet - there's a throttle position switch. You can see it there on the powerhead. Unless the throttle's set real low, the starter won't fire. What happens is that the switch provides a ground path for one side of the solenoid, allowing the solenoid to activate.
