Evinrude 65 hsp. 1972

Motor turns over when trying to start, but not enough to start. Can positive jumper be attached to starter motor, negative to ground, to check starter. Can a jumper cable be used to bypass solonoid. Connections are all clean, battery is charged. Started a couple times about two weeks ago and ran well. Any help appreciated.<br /><br /> thanks,<br /> Skip

Wrong forum, Skip.<br /><br />Go to the Engine FAQ section and do the troubleshooting in the "Outboard wont start" article.<br /><br />I will move this to Evinrude troubles.<br /><br />Good luck.
