Evinrude 70 Four Stroke shuts off

2000 Evinrude 70 Four stroke Fuel injection on a 16' Blue Wave center console. I just bought this boat last week and took it out to the river and she took off kind of sluggish but I got her to plane out and she died in about 1 minute. She would start then die over and over. The primer bulb would not get hard. Got home and took off the gas/water seperator "big oil filter type" no gas in it and when i turned it over a small amount of brown liquid came out. Also changed out the inline filter on the engine. The primer bulb now is working. I have confirmed gas getting to the injectors and I took them off and sprayed carb cleaner in them. She will start and barley idol and when I give it gas she dies. The primer bulb is full and hard. Any ideas what to check now?

I forgot to say after I changed out the fuel/water seperator it started up and ran fine at 3k and I turned her off and waited for 1 hour and it would'nt run?

Fuel system need cleaning and checked. Lift pump pressure checked, pressure pump checked, fuel regulator checked. Clean all lines and fuel rail
