Evinrude 70 Model Number

I have an Evinrude 70hp 1977 model no.70779S in Australia. Looking on the BRP web site parts catalogue it only lists 70773S. Does any one know the difference since I want to rebuild the carbs and give the model number to the dealer

i must say that was a great link you posted... I just bought a evinrude starflite. could not find what year it was. your link help a bunch, come to findout it's a 1965 evinrude seahawk with selectric. and yes it runs great thanks for posting the link.....
