evinrude 70hp fuel pump

i have 1986 evinrude 70 hp vro dealer tells me i can not convert to mixed fuel pump my vro pump is toast does anyone no of a pump that will work i can build my own mount or what ever part no# would be a good thing HELP thks rob

yeah i have a standard type pump on mine, that dood is full of it. i have a 60 hp jhonson, just get a fuel pump that has a pulse, an in, and an out. you can take those pumps apart and clean them too. pretty standard stuff from what i hear. as long as it keeps the float bowls full.

Hi Rob,<br /><br />I use fuel pump OMC part # 438557 to replace VRO on my Evinrude V4 140 1990. This pump work well with my engine in all rpm range so I think it can be used on your motor too.
