Evinrude 70hp - waking her up (year?)

Now that I have my old Gale 60 running (in no small part due to everyone here), my Dad got the boating bug and picked up an "80's" Mauntac with a Evinrude 70 hp on the back. Unfortunately, the seller gave him no history other than "it used to run good." No on-the water test. He is dragging it over to my place this Saturday.

I have just had a chance to do a quick look at it, and am gathering parts for the weekend. Plan on going through all the steps in the "awakening an outboard" thread, but need to know:

Year? Model is unreadable on the back: Model E70??RV, SN: G036042588 From what I can find, the R should mean 4 (probably an 84)?

What plugs should I use in this? (3 cylinder, right?)

Looks like an oil injection system - has the external oil tank. Should I just remove that system and do pre-mix? If not, should I replace the existing oil in the tank? No idea when it was last filled.

I think I would disconect the VRO( oil injection) for now and use premix. I wouldn't be able to trust the VRO without knowing the history of the motor. If you just plug the oil inlet at the motor and disconnect the wiring plug that goes to the VRO, you can always check it out and reconect it later. I didn't think that VRO was used before 1986, but I could be wrong. The VRO was disconnected on my 60 hp Johnson when I got it, I don't miss it, but I use my boat mostly at high rpms, might make a difference if you idle alot.
