I am considering purchasing a jack plate for my 90 hp . The boat is a 92 Stingray 501 zp with a 92 evinrude 90 hp v4 crossflow. I was hoping somone could point me to a decent quality Jack plate that is both light weight and good quality. From a reputable company. I was thinking of a 4 inch set back. Any help would be great. I am aimng to raise the engine up a bit more and i want to make sure it is in good clean water when i raise it up even more. Currently the engine is in the 2nd hole from the bottom. I can still trim the engine up all the way without any cavitation and even around turns it rarely cavities at wot either. The av plate is at about 1/4 inch below the bottom of the boat. Rasing it one more hole will put me about 1/2 an inch above the bottom of the hole. So i want a jack plate to asusre i am still getting good flow of water to the power head. Any good company jack plates ?

Before you buy a jackplate make sure you have enough steering cable length to reach the setback you want. I like the CMC Power Lift. Its a manual 6" setback.

Jack plates, set back, nose cones, low water scoop, semi surfacing props, etc are way, waaayyyyy beyond the pay grade of a 90hp crossflow.....

If you ski/tube your about at the correct setting,if you just ride and want to go fast just raise it a hole a see what happens. I dont thing that hull has a pad but is a semi vee. T&H makes a 4 " plate that you could invert sides and make a 3 " plate . Make sure your cables have enough slack to do this.
