I have just got an old evinrude and am not shure of the horse power or the year. I was told it is a 35 hp but i'm not shure that is correct. my model number is 25028-12532. Also it did not come with a fuel tank. Is it supposed to use a pressurized tank?

25028 is the model number for a 1957 35HP Evinrude.

Most '57's required a pressurized (dual line) tank. There was a fuel pump option but I think it started in '58. You can convert to a fuel pump if you want and get a normal tank. Search this forum on how to convert. Check the connector, if it's 2 prong it's pressurized if it's 1 prong it's a fuel pump. If you need a pressurized tank, search ebay and local craigslists...
