I have recently acquired an Evinrude big twin Model 40353d serial E01307. It needs some work and i am looking for as much information that i can get. (ie. horsepower, year, and where i can get a repair manual). I hope someone can help. <br /><br />Bill

It's a 1963 40hp. Here's the ref chart:<br /><br /> http://www.evinrude.com/docktalk/modref/evmodyr/EHP40.html <br /><br />You should be able to buy a 1956-1972 Johnson/Evinrude Repair Manual by Clymer or Seloc at most marine stores.
