Evinrude coils 73 115 hp

Being new to boats and their ignition systems I was looking at iboats and the evinrude coils available for my motor 115393. They have a CDI, Sierra and a Mallory listed. The Evinrude website lists the stator part number that iboats crosses to a CDI stator. The coils currently on the motor look like the Sierra.

My question is shoud I have the CDI coils on the motor, and would that help with the poor idiling of the motor?

all 3 manufactures meet the same standards, and all componets will work together.

what are your compression readings? have you check spark with a tester? have you cleaned and rebuilt the carbs. have you done the proper carb adjustments these items are covered here in detail. >> http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=299680
