Evinrude Commercial 25hp outboard, model no. SE25RPN, Serial no. G03655292. Could you please tell me the age please and any details about these motors ir performance/reliabilty

Pretty sure that is a South American Evinrude made in 94. The standard commercial will have a different gear ratio. You will need to prop differently with these engines. The larger gear ratio case takes more oil, compared to the standard models. It takes different plugs, and there is no recommended constant high rpm plug. The engine is made to run on lower octane fuel as well I believe, although when do you ever see 85 octane gas for sale. Hopefully others will be able to highlight the differences better for you.

yes, you usually get the motors from the Belgium plant.

Here's what I found:

S= South American Production
E= Evinrude
25=hp
RP=Commercial with programmed tilt
N=Counter Rotation or year built 2.

Counter rotation on a 25hp doesn't make sense but neither does jiust one letter for year designation because 1972 would be UN, 1982 would be CN, 1992 would be EN and 2002 would be ON.

This is the page that you need, it being a commercial outboard, the model number codes can be a bit different. The INTRODUCES coding system does not apply.

The N can also mean year 2 I think is what your saying - does that mean it may be 1992.

from what I read into it

Would I be right in saying its a 1994 commercial outboard with a larger gear ratio ( rh turn). Standard manual tilt ??. Built in south america.

Thats what I need to know bascially but would very much welcome any non-technical comments on its specifications please.

It is a 94, dont worry about the N, that is coding for non commercial (recreational) outboards, where you use the word INTRODUCES corresponding to 1234567890, for outboards 1980 and newer.
